NEW YORK, NY - February 1999 - The Courtney Group, Incorporated announced the closing of the acquisition by GTCO Corporation of the Input Technologies Division of CalComp, Incorporated, a subsidiary of Lockheed Martin Corporation. The transaction was structured as a sale of assets. The Courtney Group acted as financial advisor to GTCO in the valuation, structuring and negotiation and financing of the transaction.
The Input Technologies Division ("ITD") of CalComp is a leading designer and manufacturer of digitizers and scanners, and is based in Scottsdale, Arizona. In 1998 ITD had revenues of approximately $50 million.
GTCO Corporation manufactures digitizers, and digital whiteboards. GTCO is based in Columbia, Maryland and was founded in 1975. GTCO has completed 6 acquisitions in the last five years.
